We are using VR 360º video technology during many facets of our investigations.
You are able to mouse click and travel within a video and photo to get an entire 360º depiction of the accident scene.
From aerial images of all kinds to scene investigation images, the use of 360º in:
We can and will show you a new perspective never before used in the field by investigators.
We spent all of last year learning and perfecting this capability in real world situations, from workplace shootings to slip and falls. We use a high-resolution camera with multiple lenses that shoots video and captures an entire scene from a 360º vantage point. This documents an entire location or accident scene from every angle. Embedded software automatically “stitches” the image together. Then the images or video can be played back on smartphones, computers screens, or virtual reality headsets. You can actually travel though the video, using your mouse to move in every direction to see every angle.
The systems we use are very
So we can literally walk or drive through an environment quickly, that captures everything we need, to create a virtual 3D video. We understand that in a place of business we have to do our work as to not disrupt the flow of commerce, or in a hospital we will not disrupt the practice of medicine, so fast and accurate is paramount.
Also, we are using it now for training our investigators and staff, showing them and teaching in 360º real-world perspective in any given environment. We feel that the possibilities are endless.
The use of 3D is very valuable and 360º imaging in scene investigations and the investigative process.
